Since she started her career with Dell Technologies as a Software Engineer in 2013, Anshita Agrawal has grown steadily in her career. Today, she manages a team of Software Engineers that work on cutting-edge technology, and she says she owes it all to the culture at Dell. Read on, as we dive into what keeps Anshita and thousands of talented team members like her, excited to work with us.
What has your career journey looked like so far? I’m coming up on my ten-year anniversary at Dell Technologies! It has been a phenomenal journey, going from being a new college hire to holding a leadership position at Dell. I’ve had many opportunities to learn and develop new skills that have broadened my professional view. These opportunities have helped solidify the career path I wanted to take and helped me succeed along the way. I’ve truly been given everything I need to excel in my professional career, both in the technical and leadership roles. I’ve been able to work across different domains and multiple regions, which have pushed me out of my comfort zone and always kept my job exciting.
What keeps you at Dell Technologies? I work at the intersection of technology and leadership, and I love every minute of it. Being able to work on world-class products like PowerProtect Data Domain, the continuous focus on innovation, and the supportive leadership combined with the opportunity to work with some of the best minds in the industry makes it a wholesome and enriching experience. Additionally, the career progression opportunities are endless within Dell. This company truly appreciates its employees and finds ways to reward them with recognition and bigger responsibilities.
That’s great! What are some things that have contributed to your growth? The people and culture for sure! At Dell Technologies, mentors really take the time to actively listen to their mentees, while also empowering them to build a plan that advances their career the way they like. My senior leaders have helped me create development roadmaps, provided the right opportunities aligned to my career aspirations and tracked progress that prepared me for the next milestone in my career. Dell Technologies is like one big family. Usually, it would be challenging for a big company to keep such a culture alive, but Dell somehow manages to do it even after all these years! Every team member respects each other and welcome your input, regardless of their position or seniority.
I would describe Dell’s learning and development programs as some of the best in the industry, and I benefited from it as well. They combine pre-onboarding, orientation, training, mentorship, and self-paced learning with online platforms, and it has been proven to be both efficient and informative. For myself, Dell’s support in that aspect has been phenomenal. Apart from my technical skillset, I have also been fortunate to grow my leadership skills and switched to the leadership role that I’ve always aspired to be.
