Maria's Standout Projects
Over the past two years, working on AI client messaging has been one of the most exciting opportunities I’ve had at Dell—especially helping to tell the story of how AI is transforming the workplace. Launching AI PCs last year was a particularly meaningful milestone. It felt a lot like crafting a curriculum: educating audiences, simplifying complex ideas, and translating it all into clear, impactful marketing.
The pace hasn’t slowed. With hardware constantly evolving, the story is always moving forward—and it’s my job to ensure each chapter seamlessly connects to the next.
Another exciting opportunity came when I was invited to join the Dell Ambassador Program. This experience allowed me to dive deeper into our products, explore them firsthand, and bring that perspective to social media. It also gave me the chance to connect with incredibly inspiring people across the community and share what it’s like to work in such a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Saba Prasla: Finding success at Dell
I’ve learned that being successful at Dell isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about being curious, collaborative, and willing to figure things out as you go. For me, one of the biggest keys has been leaning into collaboration, because no one accomplishes anything here entirely on their own. On our team, we always say, “Teamwork makes the dream work.” Sure, it’s a little cheesy, but it’s absolutely true. Getting input from people with different perspectives helps you move faster and smarter. Sometimes, all it takes is a fresh pair of eyes on something you’re stuck on, and suddenly the path forward becomes clear.
Another mindset that’s been invaluable is focusing on finding the gap. I try to notice what the team needs that no one’s owning yet, and if it aligns with something I’m good at (or want to get better at), I jump in. That’s actually how I found my niche in product marketing. Through the Marketing Development Program, I rotated through different roles and discovered that storytelling, strategy, and simplifying complex ideas with visuals were things I loved—and could contribute in a way that really helped the team. Adaptability has also been crucial. Things move fast, priorities shift, and sometimes you’re figuring it out in real time. I’ve learned to (mostly) avoid panicking, take a step back, ask questions, and treat challenges as opportunities to grow. Dell’s culture encourages that mindset, and I’ve really embraced it. At the end of the day, I think success at Dell comes down to curiosity, self-awareness, and showing up with positive energy. If you’re open, collaborative, and willing to own your lane while supporting others, there’s so much room to grow here.

Emily's Journey of Growth and Discovery at Dell
During my time at Dell, I’ve been fortunate to experience a variety of growth opportunities that have profoundly shaped my career. As part of the Marketing Development Program, I rotated through several teams, each challenging me to grow in unique ways. In the MDP Simulation project, I developed skills in negotiation, budget management, and financial analysis—areas where I previously had limited experience. The Impact project was another pivotal learning experience during MDP, where I honed my ability to present to leadership, manage projects from start to finish, and deliver measurable results.
Each rotation—whether with the Global Forums team, Social Business team, CSG Solutions, or Sustainability Services—allowed me to build new skills and collaborate cross-functionally. It was during my time with CSG Solutions that I discovered my passion for content creation and product marketing, which ultimately led to my current role as a Senior Product Marketing Analyst on that team. After over two years of development, I am now more confident in my abilities and deeply passionate about the work I do.

Sharath's Memorable Moments at Dell
There are countless memorable moments from my time at Dell, but two stand out for the profound impact they’ve had on my career development.
In the first half of my career at Dell IT, I spent significant time on the technical side. While I enjoyed the daily challenges of my roles, I was always drawn to the arts. In my free time, I studied screenwriting and film production, building a portfolio by volunteering with local organizations. Eager to merge my creative passions with my professional life, I began interviewing for marketing opportunities at Dell. However, I quickly realized that transitioning from a technical role to a creative one—especially when competing with highly talented and experienced industry professionals—was no small feat. It was during this time that a leader in Online Marketing took a chance on me, offering me a role on her team.
Over the next five years, I collaborated with skilled messaging leads, learning the art of storytelling to market and sell products, solutions, and services. When new roles opened in Product & Solutions Messaging, I once again put myself out there and interviewed for these positions. Career pivots, I discovered, can be incredibly humbling. Yet, just as before, another leader—this time in the Messaging organization—recognized my passion and willingness to learn, inviting me to join her team.
Now, in my eighth year in Messaging, I continue to grow and evolve, drawing inspiration from the incredible storytellers around me. I often reflect on the two remarkable leaders who believed in me and made it possible to explore these career-development adventures right here at Dell.
