Inaja's journey at Dell Technologies began while she was pursuing a degree in Financial Management and inspired by friends who had built their careers at the company and spoke highly of it. Starting as an intern in 2014, she has since grown into her role as a Sales Account Manager at Dell Brazil. Reflecting on her path, Inaja shares how her internship was a pivotal experience, enriching her professional growth and preparing her for future challenges. This foundational experience not only equipped her with essential skills but also affirmed that she is on the right track to achieving her professional goals.

You were studying finance. What made you seek an internship opportunity on the sales team?
I have always wanted to work at Dell, especially because I had friends who built their careers here and spoke highly of the company's culture. In 2014, I applied for a temporary position in the order processing team. During those six months, I got to know the reality of the employees better, which reinforced my desire to be part of the team. In 2015, I applied for an internship in the commercial area because I wanted to develop my skills in this field. Until then, my main professional experiences had been in finance, human resources and tax.
How was your internship experience?
My internship experience was extremely enriching. During this period, I had the opportunity to develop essential skills such as effective communication, negotiation, market knowledge and most importantly, a better understanding of the public sector. I worked closely with the government sales team and all support areas including the technical team and executives. Additionally, I was able to apply my theoretical knowledge in practical situations, which was fundamental for my professional growth. The experience also helped me identify areas for improvement and gave me a clear vision of what is needed to succeed in the commercial area. I am very grateful for this opportunity and believe it has prepared me well for future challenges in my career within the company.

How did the internship contribute to your professional growth?
The internship significantly contributed to my professional growth in several ways. I developed effective communication, gained in-depth knowledge of the public sector market, learned to work in a team and had the opportunity to apply in practice the knowledge I was acquiring in college.
What attracted you most to the company and made you seek a full-time position?
What most caught my attention and motivated me to seek a full-time position was the opportunity for professional growth, the company's culture, the benefits and the work environment. Additionally, the chance to contribute to a better public structure, as we serve the government, was very motivating. Finally, without a doubt, the technological innovation related to the company's field of activity was also a great attraction.
