Background:

I am a Southeast Region Commercial Acquisition Services Specialist at Dell Technologies. Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, I now reside in the lovely city of Austin, Texas. I graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Marketing and Professional Sales. Naturally, after four years, I became a Hoosier fan, although I am a Badger at heart. While I miss the cold weather up north, I have discovered new interests like salsa dancing and running around Lady Bird Lake in Austin.

Fun Fact:

Every year, I like to try one new experience. This year, I plan on participating in a triathlon.

Experience in the Latino Community at Dell:

As a recent addition to the company, my goal was to discover a sense of belonging within the expansive Dell environment. It was in this pursuit that I became a member of the Latino Connection Employee Resource Group (ERG), a choice fueled by my longing to embrace my Hispanic heritage. Through this group, I've fostered a deeper connection to my roots while embarking on a journey of self-discovery.

I'm actively engaged in Latino Connection, serving as the Community and Culture co-lead. Beyond fostering connections, this group encourages me to enrich my cultural appreciation by giving back and actively embracing diverse experiences. The term "Hispanic" encompasses a multitude of meanings for various individuals. Through my involvement in Latino Connection, I've come to value and celebrate my unique way of honoring my heritage.

What I find appealing about Dell is our push for people to connect worldwide. Beyond the ERGs, Dell's global presence opens up abundant opportunities to interact with individuals from various departments, countries and backgrounds through team messages or mentorship pairings. While Dell provides the platform, it's up to each of us to take the leap and explore these paths of connection.

Advice for Young Hispanic or Latino Professionals Looking to Start Their Careers at Dell:

Embracing a growth mindset turns challenges into stepping stones on your journey. Remember, your talents are stronger than you think, and your connections are there to support you as you learn and grow from each experience.

What I Wish Others Knew About Hispanic Heritage:

Hispanic is not a one-size-fits-all identity. It's like a colorful mosaic made up of people from various countries, each with a unique history and experience. This incredible diversity brings so much richness to our cultural pride.

What I Love Most About My Heritage:

I find joy in exploring my heritage, as it helps create a stronger connection between my family members and myself.
