Please share a little bit about your role at Dell Technologies and what that entails.

I’m currently the EMEA University Relations Lead for Talent Acquisition. Part of my role is to support the hiring coordination of approximately 1,300 annual roles with a blend of graduates, interns, apprenticeships, and recent graduates.

I see you have had a few different roles at Dell – Is there something that you’ve taken from each role that has helped you in your next one?

In every role I’ve had during my time at Dell Technologies, I’ve always had a leader who has supported my growth and development. The roles have provided exposure to multiple areas in how our company operates, allowing me the opportunity to expand my network, experience, and overall personal development, which is something I’ll always be grateful for! Whatever the career path you want to take in Dell Technologies, the people will always strive to help you get there.

How do you find #LifeAtDell?

I love the support and flexibility that #LifeAtDell provides for me to perform at my best!

Do you have an achievement or moment in your career that you’re most proud of?

One of my proudest achievements was the alignment in Sales headcount tracking across the EMEA Sales Business. Aligning Sales Operations and Finance to create an accurate weekly picture in the headcount movement to support Talent Acquisition and the business in opening roles ahead of time. This allowed the team to minimize the time it took for an employee to move roles and for their replacement starting. This reduced the impact to the Sales teams’ productivity in maintaining maximum headcount capacity.

What is your favorite part about working for Dell?

For me, it has to be the people! Ever since I joined Dell six years ago, my roles have enabled me to connect with colleagues across EMEA which has become very much a family for me. Everyone is always there for you and supports you to be the best you can be, and I can happily say I’ve made friendships which will last a lifetime!

As you started at Dell as an Intern, is there a piece of advice that you would share for someone who may be starting out in their career?

Most important advice I would give to an intern starting their career at Dell Technologies is: To never be afraid to reach out to ask any questions you may have as we’re all a family here and are always open to help anybody whenever needed. I’d also say to keep connected, build your brand and network. I’ve met many inspirational people during my time at Dell Technologies and I’m constantly learning by asking questions. No question is a bad question! Finally, explore! Dell Technologies offers learning studios, charitable initiatives and multiple Employee Resource Groups to support their employees to achieve and grow, participate in social responsibility events and support their connection from a global and local level.

What is one thing you know now that you wish you knew when you started at Dell?

I now know not to be afraid. I felt very anxious when joining Dell Technologies due to the size of the company with over 150,000 employees. The anxiety I had also prevented me from asking questions.

How do you find the level of diversity and inclusion at Dell?

Dell Technologies is continuously driving to have a diverse and inclusive workforce. A diverse workforce is an effective workforce! We’re driving multiple initiatives to enhance D&I amongst our employees, and we’ll continue to do so in order to reach our D&I 2030 Moonshot Goals!
