Progress Takes Megan, Marketing Intern at Dell Technologies

About Me:

My name is Megan, and I am based out of Houston, Texas. I currently go to University of Southern California (USC) where I study Business Administration/Management. This summer I am part of the Marketing Internship Program (MIP) at Dell Technologies on the North America Alliances and Partner Management team. 

I am a big foodie and music lover, so my favorite thing is to try a new recipe and blast music! I have recently been obsessed with "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" and "Five Seconds Flat" by Lizzy McAlpine.

Fun Fact:

I did Musical Theater in High School, and in my freshman year I was taught how to walk on stilts so I could be a tree in "Into the Woods".

Favorite Part of Interning at Dell:

The Dell community is one of the most welcoming and kind I have seen. Everyone has been so willing to share their experiences and give advice.

In The Final Weeks of My Internship, I am Most Looking Forward To:

I have been working online so I am excited to wrap up the internship in the office and see all the great people I've met over the summer!

Biggest Takeaway from this Summer:

I have learned that it is more important to ask questions and try your best rather than try and be perfect at all times.

What a Successful Dell Internship Looks Like to Me:

If you have ended the internship with an expanded network of connections and can say you learned a lot, then you have done your job!

Advice for Future Dell Interns:

Be a sponge. Take everything in and really listen to what everyone is sharing. This internship is going to be a great way to learn and grow so be open to new experiences and knowledge.

Goals and Dreams for the Future:

I have so many passions that it is hard to choose one, but I am currently writing a book so I hope to publish it soon and get into more writing in the job that I end up doing. It is a YA Fiction, and I am planning on self-publishing it in November.
