Meet the Recent Graduates Joining Dell Technologies Japan

New Hires | Tokyo, Japan

Originally Published: April 18, 2023

On Monday, April 3rd, Dell Technologies Japan held a ceremony in Tokyo to welcome 57 recent college graduates into the Dell community. Here in Japan, new graduate hiring occurs at the same time in April, and we are grateful to welcome these employees who will be in roles everywhere from Inside Sales to Technical Support and Field Marketing.

From the start of the day, energy levels were high as C-suites, Business Unit Managers, HR representatives, and new members interacted. The ceremony started with a welcome speech from Dell Japan’s CEO and progressed with short speeches from other board members. Each of them shared insightful advice for both new hires and existing employees alike, such as, “Be excited to go to work every day!”, “Enjoy learning no matter how old you get” and “Be open to networking with Dell employees across the globe!” In a large, international organization, networking and learning from our peers around the globe online is fun!

Following the ceremony, we held a brown bag session where new hires were encouraged to be open and share their experiences. New employees then received a welcome gift and enjoyed conversations with leaders in small groups. In these conversations, our leaders embodied our Culture Code message of “winning together.” After a two-week training in their respective business units, the new employees will now receive training in their specific teams. New talent increases the diversity of ideas and makes us a stronger company overall. We are eager to see how their valuable contributions will help shape the future at Dell!
