Moving to Bengaluru brought a lot of changes to my life. With the race set to realizing my dreams and climbing up my career ladder came the dreading lifestyle change of mostly eating junk and fast food, erratic eating timings, and sedentary days, both working days and weekends. The unhealthy lifestyle I adopted furthered my tendency to binge eat in happiness and sadness.

My journey toward wellness began in 2014. One day, just like that, I decided I needed to transform into my old, fit self. I started attempting to follow my fitness goals, and it has been a great challenge, indeed. Walking daily for even 30 minutes felt like an impossible task. Initially, I would just blame my PCOD diagnosis as the reason why I couldn't focus on building an active lifestyle. But honestly, the cliched maxim, Health is Wealth, came to my rescue. Consistency, homemade food, a self-imposed “no sugar” policy, and workout combinations inclusive of strength, endurance, mobility, and cardiovascular exercises, became my mantra. I follow this mantra religiously to this day. |
Soon enough, marathons began to interest me. I began pushing my limits by participating in as many marathons as possible.
The most significant transformation of my life happened when I decided to participate in the Devil’s Circuit, the most difficult obstacle race in Asia. This life-altering decision transformed the meaning of fitness for me. Becoming stronger and healthier is an ongoing process, and continuous dedication and discipline led me to where I am now.

Then came the pandemic in 2020. I made a resolution to not let this come in the way of all the progress I had made. I believed the best is yet to come and to be the best version of myself, I started preparing myself for the Everest Base Camp. I pushed myself every single day, was consistent with my workouts, and had a single-point focus on my goal. I knew success would elude me if I became complacent. Motivating myself to follow a structured workout plan boosted my confidence to conquer the Himalayas. I am proud to share that all this preparation, hard work, and consistency paid off. I made it to the base camp, and it was an experience like no other.

I do want to share some learnings of mine from this journey. It is particularly important to love what we do and make it a part of our lifestyle. I have not let anything come in the way of my wellness journey. My progress is my motivation to carry on, and I believe my attitude to " never give up" is the reason why I can handle every curveball life throws at me. |

Humans can do anything if they set their minds to it. Being consistent is the key. My story may inspire someone else to follow their dreams towards a healthy life because in my dictionary, impossible says I’m possible.
