I joined Dell in 2015, and in my current role I work with our logistics partners to ensure smooth and reliable service‑parts supply across India. I focus on improving day‑to‑day operations, strengthening compliance, and addressing issues through root‑cause analysis when escalations come my way. I collaborate closely with different teams to keep processes aligned and drive better outcomes. I have also led Goods and Services Tax (GST) and e‑waybill compliance for service‑parts operations in India and continue to support key improvement and innovation projects with our logistics partners.
What initially drew you to Supply Chain at Dell, and how has your role evolved?
I was initially drawn to Dell’s Supply Chain organization because of its reputation for being one of the most advanced and resilient globally. Having previously worked as a partner, I had firsthand visibility into the depth and rigor with which Dell manages its supply chain. So when the opportunity came to join a team that blends scale, data-driven decision-making, and process excellence, I knew it was the right step.
Over time, my role has evolved from focusing solely on functional deliverables to driving cross-functional problem solving, process improvements, and operational visibility. I now spend more time looking at end-to-end impacts and identifying opportunities to streamline processes to enhance customer experience and reduce friction for teams.
Can you walk us through a recent operational challenge you solved and the impact it had on the business?
A recent challenge involved identifying bottlenecks in a recurring operational process that was causing delays in downstream operational activities. By analyzing the workflow and collaborating with external partners and Dell internal stakeholders, we were able to standardize key steps, eliminate manual touchpoints, and remove inefficiencies. The solution improved turnaround time, reduced workload for the teams, and significantly enhanced process visibility.
Dell’s supply chain is known for its scale and complexity—what’s one aspect of this environment that really energizes you?
What energizes me most is how interconnected everything we do is. Small improvements in one area can create significant value across the chain. The complexity pushes me to think both strategically and operationally—balancing customer needs, operational constraints, and process excellence.
How does your team collaborate across functions to keep operations running smoothly?
Our collaboration is built on clear communication, structured processes, and strong cross-functional relationships. We work closely with Dell stakeholders and partners to ensure alignment and address issues proactively. Regular sync meetings, metrics reviews, and open escalation channels help the team maintain operational stability and drive continuous improvement.
What advice would you give to someone looking to build a career on the operations/process side of Supply Chain?
My advice would be:
- Develop strong process thinking.
- Learn to work cross-functionally.
- Be data-driven but practical.
- Stay curious.
- Build communication skills and start networking early.
