Dell Technologies has developed a portfolio of pro bono programs that connect our talented and diverse employees with nonprofits around the world that are facing barriers to digital transformation. By partnering with nonprofits to resolve these operational challenges, we can accelerate and amplify the essential work that nonprofits are doing to improve social conditions for the communities in which we work and live. Read on to hear how Keyla and Kevin, a mother and son duo, got involved with volunteering through Dell's Pro Bono Program.

Keyla Knights and Kevin Knights aren't just teammates at Dell Technologies, they're a mother and son duo who share not just their lives, but their careers. Keyla and Kevin are also involved in volunteer work at Dell, taking interest in the Pro Bono program that connects our talented and diverse employees with nonprofits around the world that are facing barriers to digital transformation. Dell team members can nominate any nonprofit to be invited and apply to participate in our Pro Bono programs.

Kevin got involved in the Pro Bono program after hearing his mom talk about the impact that it was making. He got an email to get involved and worked with Keyla to provide insights to help his team get acquainted, as they were all new to the Pro Bono program.

He worked with a Brazilian team on technical courses for teenagers that helped with their brand, positioning, and even provided an analysis for their social media. When reflecting on his time working with the program, Kevin said, "It has been very fulfilling to see the feedback being applied. Pro Bono was one of the most amazing experiences, and to this day our team members get in touch from time to time, it was more than an opportunity to contribute, it was a way to connect with others in the company."

Keyla and Kevin have done a wide range of volunteer work with Dell such as helping to clean beaches in Panama, working on collecting donations for elders, helping children get school supplies, and more.

"It's incredible to have the opportunity to say thank you to the company that gives so much to both me and my son, but also to share resources and supplies, or to go to different places to make a better country and a better world," said Keyla.

In talking about their work together and what it means to them, Keyla added, "The beautiful thing we have now is that we get to share so many things and we can support each other in our jobs. Because we work in the same company, I place more value on his professional development and what he has accomplished because I have the opportunity to see him grow, it makes me proud because not many people have that."
