Bring your whole self and an open and curious mind to learn more about the company! We will provide you with a laptop on your first day, and will walk you through all needed HR processes, e.g. signing up for insurance, benefits, company badge, and accessing your email.

Month 1
Classroom Training
The first month of Sales Academy is classroom training. It is an exciting, interactive experience which includes instructor-led training with experiential exercises and workshops. Topics include how to navigate the organization, the Dell Technologies story, how we sell and what we sell, Customer Mindset, our vast product portfolio and a focus on developing your selling skills.
As you can see, we have considered how we can enable you to immerse yourself in learning which is then follow by supportive environment where you will apply what you learned with the support of dedicated coaches, and continue to reinforce your knowledge of Dell Technologies’ portfolio.
Month 2
On the Job Training
On-the-job training includes a variety of activities to prepare you for all aspects of the Inside Sales job. Each week focuses on a different technology and reinforces skills learned in the first month in a more interactive setting.
Major activities include:
Simulations and role plays – You will have time to write pitches and practice them with your coaches and peers. Mock calls give you a safe space to practice and try new selling tactics. Some simulations will align with the technology covered in the current focus week. Other calls will be specific to a customer segment or situation.
Account calling – You will be given a set of real customer accounts to call. You will have ample support from coaches and experienced Inside Sales Representatives.
Shadowing – – You will have the opportunity to follow an experienced Inside Sales Representative through their daily routine. You will listen to their calls and hear how they handle real customer discussions. They will show you how to close deals and use our tools.
Month 3
Full-Time Sales
Finally, upon graduating after your 3 month program, you will be placed in your long-term role and assigned customer accounts.
Your sales coach is responsible for placing you into a long-term role.
Coaches will place you by balancing your skills and preferences with the needs of the business.
We encourage you to speak with your coaches as well as tenured Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs) in the business to get a better sense of the various customer segments that Dell Technologies serves.

Yes, we require a resume/CV for each position to which you apply. Our current process enables you to attach your resume or CV once you build your profile. The file must not exceed 5 megabytes and must be in one of the following formats: Word (.doc), Text (.txt), Hypertext Markup Language (.html, .htm), or Portable Document Format (.pdf).

Profiles will remain in the system for one year and will be purged as needed. We encourage you to update your profile on a regular basis. Should you wish to have your candidate profile removed you can contact privacy@dell.com with your deletion request as per our Data Privacy Statement.

There are a few steps in our process. By clicking on status within your application, a definition of the current status is provided. Due to the volume of submissions that Dell receives, we generally aim to review and determine next steps for candidates within a 4-week period after application.

Due to the large volume of applications we receive, it is not possible for us to provide the name, telephone number or email address of recruiters or hiring managers. Recruiters will review resumes/profiles and will respond only to those external candidates who best match the qualifications of our openings. To ensure you do not miss opportunities, keep your candidate profile updated.

Screening for most positions is completed within the first four weeks after the position is posted. During that time, if you are selected to be screened, you will be contacted by a recruiter. All interviewed candidates will receive communication regarding the outcome within fourteen days of their interview. Candidates that are not selected for a screening or interview will not be contacted, but may be matched to other potential openings if this option was selected during your application.

Be prepared to provide specific examples of your behavior in particular situations and how the behaviors helped you develop in previous roles. Dell is also looking for examples of how you have demonstrated specific competencies needed for the role you are interviewing for. Be mindful that certain agreements with your current/previous employers could impact your ability to work at Dell.
