What is your current role?
I currently work in our software business selling TLAs (transformation license agreements) aligned to Dell Technologies Software accounts in EMEA.

Tell us a bit about your background in finance and sales.
I studied finance at university with the plan to work for an office investment firm after graduation. Luckily, one of my classmates was offered a role at EMC and got me an interview. I almost didn't go because I had minimal interest in technology. Looking back, I'm sure glad that I went!

Why did you decide to join Dell Technologies?
Dell Technologies and the team now called NextGen Sales Academy offered me a chance for career development and promotions quicker than other jobs I was interviewing for. Unlike Finance, I found that my career progressions were based solely on results rather than the number of years in the role. 

Sounds like you have moved quickly and had multiple roles at Dell Technologies - is this something you would recommend to other recent graduates? Any tips to share on networking at Dell?
Dell offers the ability to move both vertically and horizontally in your career. I think both are necessary to gain different skills sets and network effectively. 

How has Dell Technologies contributed to your success?
Dell gave me the ability to relocate from the US based NextGen Sales Academy team to the team based in London. I've been able to build a life for myself here and I'm very grateful! 

What are you most proud of?
I'm most proud of my ability to clearly articulate business value to executives, both internally and externally. Having the opportunity of being in a room with senior leaders has led me to professional growth and gaining expertise from different perspectives.

Did you ever think you would be where you are today?
No, I had no clue I’d be here today. Working at Dell Technologies has opened doors and allowed me to achieve above what I thought was my career ceiling. I’ve been able to network with so many people, develop personal and professional skills, and reach milestones that I never thought of.

What would you say to encourage other graduates to join Dell Technologies?
Dell Technologies offers a wide range of opportunities to all sorts of people ranging in different skill sets. It’s not about where you come from or what you know. If you have the work ethic, Dell is the place for you. They’ve incentivized me to stay and have continued to help develop my skills along the way.

Any international career advice?
Being a global company, Dell offers some opportunities to work internationally. It's been a wonderful cultural learning experience for me, and I highly recommend it.
