Responsibilities:

The SaaS Ops Analyst is responsible for ensuring efficient and secure utilization of SaaS software used within an organization. He/she will balance functionality, cost, and security while optimizing the company’s IT budget.

1. Track technical costs related to software, licenses, and hardware.
2. Establish relationships with business owners to facilitate the planning and budgeting for technical spend within their organizations.

3. Work with procurement, the legal and security organizations to onboard new vendors.

4. Assist with contract negotiations, renewals and vendor management where needed.
5. Produce and maintain reports/dashboards for metrics such as software license usage, cost savings, cost per usage, etc. in order to provide better visibility to stakeholders when making business decisions.

6. Develop strategies for cost savings and optimization.

7. Foster and promote a culture of cost accountability.

8. Manage all aspects of the cost management platform to include ensuring the data is up-to-date and accurate.

9. Assist in making sure the security and compliance of software purchased are in line with organizational and legal requirements.

10. Manage access control of applications by use of SSO (single sign-on) and SCIM.

11. Automating administration of application where appropriate.

12. Assist in the development of data-protection processes for company data and information.

13. Facilitate the training of software users when needed.

14. Onboard and offboard SaaS application users.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related area of study.
2. 1-3 years experience in an IT operations role, preferably within a SaaS or cloud-based business.
3. Excellent financial acumen, including financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Knowledge of data analysis and financial modeling techniques.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
8. Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.
9. Knowledge of SaaS management tools and software is a plus.

10. Knowledge of IT systems and software.

11. Experience in vendor management.
