This is a key position in our Global Translation team, you will bridge between translation and technology, letting translators focus on what they specialize rather than spend time out on how to deal with new software each time a new project starts. The Localization Architects role is one that works closely with Project Managers and Linguists, as well as internal clients to sort out technical issues that may arise as the localization workflow goes.

As a Localization Architect, you will be the bridge between translation and technology, letting translators focus on what they specialize in rather than spending time figuring out how to deal with new software each time a new project starts. The Localization Architects role is one that works closely with Project Managers and Linguists, as well as internal clients to sort out technical issues that may arise as within the localization workflow.

• Drive the localization technology process end to end for all core projects and content that you support. Focusing on execution but also automating manual activities.
• Define strategic and technical solutions to achieve business goals of Dell. You work to ensure the team’s resources are being spent in ways that align with those goals.
• Identify, gather, and drive consensus among all required groups across the company when trying to accomplish larger goals. You resolve blockers in other teams to move forward.
• Optimize Machine Translation engines and Translation Memories (TM) and work with internal teams to establish automated connections for translation, detailing requirements, and specifications.
• Define future technology requirements, AI/ML best practices, and operational guidelines, with focus on continuous improvement of translation platform's reliability and serviceability.

Essential Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in the Localization industry.
• Extensive Knowledge of SDL Trados, TMS systems and other CAT Tools.
• Extensive technical knowledge of Translation Memory, Localization Tools and Localization Standards.
• Excellent communication/people skills including the ability to convey technical information to a cross-functional team including client technical and non-technical resources.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.

Desirable Requirements

• Computer science degree or equivalent, knowledge of programming languages syntax such as Java, C++, C#, etc.
• Knowledge of internet related technology (.NET, HTML, XML, PHP, ASP).
