What you’ll achieve

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Principal Software Engineer with expertise in Machine Learning to join the Cloud Infrastructure Services organization. As a Senior Principal Software Engineer, you will play a key role in building AI solutions that will help modernize our server infrastructure and enable us to leverage new Generative AI technologies.

You will:

• Be responsible for designing and implementing AI solutions that meet the needs of the Cloud Infrastructure Services organization.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software systems.

• Lead the development of AI projects from start to finish, ensuring successful production deployment.

• Architect robust and scalable solutions using your deep understanding of system design principles.

• Develop and implement Machine Learning and Data Science models and algorithms that can handle large-scale datasets.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Solid experience working on Software Development and good knowledge on Machine Learning development.

• Proven track record of taking projects from inception to production deployments.

• Solid understanding of system design principles and the ability to architect scalable and efficient software systems.

• Expert proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or C++.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience in working with the Generative AI ecosystem, including building generative AI tools using techniques such as retrieval augmented generation, vector embeddings, and vector similarity search, as well as contributing to open-source machine learning tools and packages like transformers, langchain, mlflow, pytorch, tensorflow, llamaindex, peft, and optuna.

• Strong background in machine learning and artificial intelligence, with article publications and citations in the field, as well as experience with software patents and patent applications.
