Join us as a Partner Engineer (Samsung) in our Telecom Systems Business (TSB) Strategic Partner team to do the best work of your career and make a profound impact.

The Partner Engineer provides technical leadership and expertise on Dell and TSB-specific solutions, strategic guidance, and industry knowledge to contribute to technical teams product certifications, validations, development of new business opportunities and be a trusted technical advisor for Samsung.  They collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams, to drive partner requirements, map innovative technology solutions and enable successful certifications from Dell TSB back into the partners.

What you’ll achieve

The Partner Engineer will function as Partner CTO responsible for positioning TSB solutions and technical certification/verifications to intersect market needs with Dell and Samsung roadmaps as well as managing and fostering relationships between Dell and Samsung product and engineering teams.

You will:

  • Provide technical leadership and hands on guidance on network design, solution integration and end-to-end solution certification/validation of lead edge 5G RAN, Core, OSS/BSS, Cloud platform, automation and orchestration use cases and defined solutions over Dell servers and/or other Dell TSB offerings
  • Develop and expand TSB mindshare with technical leadership and key stakeholders (sales architects, product, engineering etc.) within Samsung
  • Have solid understanding of telecom network virtualization, drive open telecom ecosystem interop testing based on O-RAN conformance specifications and end-to-end validation of O-RAN solutions and therefore can develop  relationships and foster technical outcomes at the vRAN, Core, OSS and BSS partner certification process whether at the partner site, Open Telecom Ecosystem Lab (OTEL) or potentially at the operator location
  • Consolidate and communicate partner requirements to TSB product management including identification of capability gaps as well as other ecosystem partners that may fill any gaps.
  • Drive and enable technical lab certifications and verifications, training and enablement, roadmap reviews, product deep dives etc.  with the partner’s technical teams to ensure partners stay enabled and updated with the latest at Dell TSB

Essential Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience within the Telco sector, ideally in vRAN/O-RAN and/or Core solutions delivered by Samsung
  • Proven record of working hands on in large mobile network systems as a technical leader for Mobile Networks and/or Cloud and Network Services and In-depth technical knowledge and experience in certifications, architecture, design, deployment, and lifecycle automation of macro and private mobile networks using cloud-native functions and solutions
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end RAN Networks, across vRAN and O-RAN systems including the supporting OSS/BSS systems and operator practices for designing, deploying, and maintaining the RAN and/or Core network architecture and CNF/VNF elements and operator practices for designing, deploying, and maintaining the Core
  • Strong understanding of the Cloud ecosystem and operating model, ideally RedHat, Wind River or one of the major public cloud vendors.
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to orchestrate technical and sales resources to drive partner projects in key accounts and strong interpersonal, written and verbal skills which allow to influence and interact with confidence and credibility at all levels within Dell Technologies, customers, partners and vendors.
