What you’ll achieve

Responsible for EC (Embedded Controller) programmer for Dell client products, including Notebooks, Desktop, AIO, Tablet or Workstation. Reviewing marketing requirements, provide assessment and technical solution to meet marketing needs while balancing the overall product design consideration in terms of cost, schedule, manufacturing and service etc. Create technical documents to communicate solution concept and guide the implementation direction. Participates in the preparation and review of EC requirements and specifications.

You will:

- Provide ODMs EC assessment for new product development. Understands and communicates industry trends, and drives the corporate strategic direction for software and systems.  

- Collaborate with other functional teams including marketing, usability, service, manufacturing, EE/Power, Thermal, validation and so on.

- Provides strategic direction to the planning, design and architecture of high quality, complex systems and software.  

- Writes technical papers (e.g., white papers) that clearly articulate industry and company trends in technology and solutions, at either a summary or detailed level.      

- Leads the definition, collection and analysis of quality metrics appropriate to products and processes, especially with respect to issue contributing to product defects and business process problems.

Essential Requirements

- 20+ years in code development and EC RTOS experience.

- Needs to be able to conduct meetings and discussions in a multi-national English environment

-Technical problem solving skills / debug capabilities

- Low level programming capability - system/motherboard level. Familiar with code programming in both assembly and C/C++ language.

- Experience with analyzers and other HW tools to debug complex system SW issues.


Desirable Requirements

- Ability to take ideas from concept phase to delivery. This includes creating design docs, scoping design and requirements, detailed spec creation, Proof of Concept design and implementation/productizing

- Experience in Smart Power/Battery management, thermal management, performance throttling.
