Job Summary: The Senior Advisor will lead strategic initiatives for the Social and Environmental Responsibility Team that ensure the environmental sustainability of Dell’s supply chain.

What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Advisor, Social and Environmental Responsibility, you will be responsible for supporting business critical environmental responsibility functions. This includes supporting our supply chain environmental programs, regulatory reporting, compliance, and standards requirements. Be part of a team that leads one of the industry’s most comprehensive audit programs to ensure compliance with all requirements from industry associations, government and other regulatory bodies and provide climate mitigation recommendations and action plans. This role offers the opportunity to expand one’s scope within the Supply Chain Assurance organization or the ability to gain experience in supply chain operations as part of a career in Dell’s environmental, social and governance efforts.

You will:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and standards that apply to Dell supply chain/Craft narratives and responses for the supply chain portion of Dell’s annual sustainability regulatory reporting (CDP, ESG Report, CSRD etc.).

• Manage the CDP Supply Chain program for supplier engagement in climate and water reporting and generate insights for actions based on returned supplier data. 

• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary data and ensure accurate reporting. Use internal metrics reporting system and maintain good data management practices/ Collaborate internationally with stakeholders in various time zones; successful candidates should be prepared to maintain healthy work-life balance while engaging with stakeholders based in the US, Europe, and Asia

• Work with corporate ESG reporting team to ensure timely completion of supply chain environmental data reporting.

• Manage incoming data for supply chain carbon emissions (scope 3 category 1) accounting and disclosures and support the audit process. 

• Build and maintain awareness of industry trends on environmental sustainability, regulatory requirements, business conditions and internal processes and practices to meet compliance requirements and timelines.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous professional experience in environmental compliance and/or ESG reporting and disclosure/Strong knowledge of CDP, CSRD, and other ESG reporting frameworks 

• Proficiency in sustainability data management and reporting software 

• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management, interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures and build consensus and influence decision-makers

• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills/Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational, project management and administrative skills/Strong attention to detail and results driven orientation

Desirable Requirements 

Typically requires 8+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years with a Master’s degree; or 3+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience. Degrees in environmental sustainability-related field are preferred.
