Principal Front End Developer

The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation application enhancements and new products for a changing world. What you’ll achieve

As a Principal Front End Developer with Dell, your primary responsibility will be to research and develop new user experiences and interfaces to advance Dell’s technology into the future. We are looking for technologists who are comfortable learning and adapting easily to meet the needs of our rapidly evolving business. As a part of the Dell Technologies AI Innovation, we research and innovate on the future of technology in a high visibility, collaborative team. You will collaborate with users, product managers, leadership, engineers and data scientists, tech leads, strategy, and/or stakeholders to execute technology development using an agile, fast-fail mentality.By working on small cross functional teams and using pair programming, you will have the ability to lead and drive UX design and development and collaborate constantly, continually growing your skills while also leading and mentoring within the team.

You will:
Work closely with other developers and data scientists as part of a small cross-functional team as well as with Product Management and Leadership to make decisions and share your work


•Define ideas, architectures, metrics, and testing strategies for UIs


Rotate through different projects while delivering consistent look and feel and reusable code

Essential Requirements
•Strong understanding of programming logic and design patterns, especially in delivering user experiencesand interfaces
•Ability and open mindedness to quickly learn about new development methodologies and cutting-edge technologies such as generative AI, computer vision, and more

•Strong communication skills and an ability to articulate and shape technical vision 
•Ability to execute an iterative Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery strategy, using metrics, data, testing, and feedback to drive new feature design
•Experience in DevOps, Extreme Programming (XP), and/or Design Thinking along with experience in two or more of the following languages or frameworks: JavaScript (Node.js, ReactJS, Typescript, or similar), Go, Python, or similar


Desirable Requirements
•6 to 8 years of related experience
•Bachelor’s degree

Compensation • Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $161,500.00 to $209,000.00 base salary
