What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Operations Solutions Architect, you will take the technical lead during the managed services engagements, using a consultative approach towards the customer to fully understand their overall business goals. From there, you will translate the client’s business requirements into specific systems or applications for complex technology solutions.This is an Operational hands-on Solutions Architect role where the ideal candidate will be accountable for all the technical elements of the overall solution.

You will:

• Be the highest technical escalation point for steady state service, in case of any service impacting issues, major incidents or escalations.
• Be a technical leader currently overseeing and holding architectural ownership in an enterprise customer 24x7 environment
• Provide day to day support of existing environment, oversee risks in the current environment, create remediation plans and guide the team through to completion within an ITIL framework.

• Be the technical lead for Design, Solution, Integration to customer environment and operational stability of the solutions.
• Review clients Logical Design, DC architectures and solution overview prior to configuration, upgrades, and expansions.
• Be responsible for Industry Best Practice, Process and Design documentation and updates.

Essential Requirements

•  8+ years of relevant experience with Converged (e.g. Vblock, Dell MX) and/or Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (e.g. VxRail)
• Experience with architecture design, documentation, and operations for compute, storage, and networking in a VMware vSphere environment
• Subject Matter Expert in VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and NSX
• Understanding of ITIL and Agile Methodology. Strong analytical, problem solving, negotiation and organizational skills
• Ability to guide and lead both onshore team in Auckland as well as the offshore team in Bangalore COE

Desirable Requirements

•  Bachelor’s Degree (Technical)
• Experience with VMware Aria Operations, Aria Operations for Logs, Aria Operations for Networks, VMware Site Recovery Manager
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana toolset, Go-lang exporter development skills, Kubelite on baremetal servers skills
