With that in mind, Dell Client Storage Engineering Team is proud to own the end-to-end Engineering support on storage-related matters for all Client platforms across definition, development, launch and sustaining and end-of-life phases.

The Client Storage Engineering team delivers next-generation application enhancements and new storage products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop hardware and features for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.

Join us as a Platform Engagement Development Manager on our Client Storage Engineering team in our Taiwan Design Center to fully reach your potential and explore the endless possibility for growth.

What you’ll achieve

As the main point of contact between Storage Engineering team and all client platforms, you will officially engage and collaborate with all Client LoBs (lines of business) on roadmap strategy, new features, issues sharing and potential incubations. This position is perfect for someone who is looking to build up such experience and the exposure to strategic and technical planning of up to 3 years. You will have abundant opportunities to absorb technical knowledge with a full team of friendly industry experts, and to collaborate with a truly international team. You will also be equipped and empowered to evaluate, influence and enable new suppliers, and shape the processes on New Partner/Supplier Enablement.

You will:

·Act as the primary point of contact for storage-related matters across Client LoBs (lines of business). Provide updates to Storage Roadmap, discuss upcoming features and ecosystem changes and review key issues with platform teams in Engineering Review forums periodically and as needed.

·Drive Storage related issue closure with Platform Engineering and with ODM Storage Teams.

·Present a Platform Engineering perspective in Storage internal discussions, as well as external product and technology reviews with partners. Also opportunities to participate in innovation activities such as process improvement initiatives or incubation projects.

·Together with Storage Supplier Quality Engineering, co-lead Design Co-Review studies between Storage suppliers and ODMs on selected Development Platforms

·Together with Partner Enablement Development Manager, represent Storage Team in New Partner Enablement including on-site audits at vendors’ factories.

Essential Requirements

·Familiarity with New Product development/Offer Lifecycle Process and activities, particularly as related to Engineering.

·Willingness and fluency to initiate contact with broader Client platform teams, both in planned and unplanned contexts.

·Fast learner, critical thinker and problem solver; ability to assess a situation/issue quickly and formulate a strategy for communication and resolution.

·Team player; personal charisma a big plus.

·Energetic and fluent presenter to internal and external parties.

Desirable Requirements

·Engineering background helpful but not required.

·Ability to lead, influence and direct a workgroup to achieve results
