Inside Sales Leader – Small Medium Business

We are seeking a strategic and people-focused Segment Sales Leader to lead our Inside Sales team for the Small Medium Business (SMB) segment in the Netherlands. This role is a cornerstone of Dell’s transformation to a faster, leaner, and more agile organization. You will drive sales performance while shaping a team culture rooted in empowerment, accountability, and collaboration.

With many team members early in their careers, you’ll play a critical role in hiring, training, and developing talent—building foundational skills in technology, mindset, and Dell’s ways of working. You will lead through influence, not control, fostering a high-trust environment where team members are empowered to act, innovate, and grow.

The role is part of the Netherlands Leadership Team and is based in the office of Amsterdam.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Execution

  • Drive sales strategy aligned with company goals and growth targets.

  • Use data insights to optimize performance.

  • Translate business objectives into actionable plans that drive performance and customer acquisition.

  • Monitor sales metrics, analyze trends, and apply data-driven insights to optimize results.

People Leadership & Development

  • Lead team of 20-30 inside (generic and technical) sales representatives.

  • Hire, train, and develop (junior) sales talent.

  • Provide mentorship and coaching to foster ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.

  • Champion a collaborative, innovative, resilient and change-embracing team environment.

Operational Excellence & Process Optimization

  • Streamline sales processes using CRM and AI tools.

  • Monitor KPIs and drive improvements.

Sales Management & Customer Relationship Management

  • Oversee customer engagement and satisfaction.

  • Resolve complex issues with a strategic mindset.

Key Capabilities & Skills

  • Change agent with exceptional leadership and coaching abilities to build high-performance cultures.

  • Adaptability and resilience in fast-paced, evolving environments.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.

  • Strategic thinking with a bias for action.

  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills at scale.

  • Proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales automation tools.

  • Ability to lead AI-enabled teams and drive modernization.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role.

  • Demonstrated success in exceeding (sales) targets in high-paced environments.

  • Experience in sales and/or sales management.

  • Solid understanding of sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC, Challenger, SPIN) and sales tools.

  • Experience with modern AI-powered tools.

  • Experience in working in an international corporate matrix organization.

  • Proven execution and vision in leading change.

  • Fluent in Dutch & English
