What you'll achieve

This is a great role in developing your tax accounting skills. We are looking for a well-rounded tax, accounting, or finance professional with a strong foundation in accounting principles and financial reporting to join our team as a Tax Accountant specializing in accounting for income taxes. This role is ideal for someone with broad tax, accounting, or finance experience who is looking to deepen their expertise in tax reporting under ASC 740, while continuing to contribute cross-functionally to the broader finance organization.

You will:

• Take responsibility for various tax provision areas and support the overall team effort to provide timely delivery and support for all internal and external tax accounting deliverables for Dell’s quarterly tax provision reporting

• Collaborate with various finance functions to prepare and maintain legal entity forecasts used for the quarterly tax provision, including the application of appropriate transfer pricing calculations

• Analyze the Company's business results under various segmentations (US GAAP, Statutory, management segments, etc) and explain their impact on the effective tax rate

• Support all aspects of data generation and reporting from the Company’s ERP systems for the tax provision and related forecasting processes

• Support technology and process improvement projects related to the global tax provision and legal entity forecasting

Essential Requirements

• 5+ years experience in accounting, financial reporting, or corporate finance; exposure to tax provision and income tax accounting preferred.

• Familiarity with U.S. GAAP; prior experience with ASC 740 is a strong plus.

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, especially working with large data sets and reconciliations

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiar with ERP systems

• Ability to communicate complex financial and tax matters clearly across functional teams

• Organized and able to prioritize in a very dynamic fast-paced environment

• A team-player who is eager to learn and focuses on collaboration and building strong relationships throughout the organization

Desirable Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Certified Public Accountant

• Experience with Tax Provision Software, Power Query, or Power BI is highly desirable

Compensation
Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $118,150. - $152,900.
